Review: Let’s Get Lost by Adi Alsaid

At first I thought this book would be just another teenage drama, and I suppose that is a little bit true, but it’s really so much more than that.

This book centers around a girl named Leila. She takes a life-changing road trip where she meets 4 friends who also serve as narrators of the book. Multiple POVs can be hard to execute, but the author really pulled it off well. I loved seeing all of the characters’ lives intertwine. I also thought the book was a touching coming of age story.

Perhaps my favorite thing about this book is the cast of characters. They just felt so real! They were realistically flawed, with good traits and bad. They all were harboring different struggles and challenges. And by the end of the novel, they’d all developed and changed so much. Props to the author for that. 🙂

But the writing was also beautiful while still being honest. It really tied in the story and connected the reader to everything.

I’ve also heard that the author, Adi Alsaid, has another published book so I’ll have to check that out.

I think I’ll give this book 4.5 stars, just because the beginning was slow for me. But I’d still highly recommend this book!

Rating: 4.5 stars
